Written By Vibhuti Desai
Did you ever look at someone’s skin and wonder what her routine is or look at their hair and wonder if it is good genes or a good hairdresser? We wonder too. Quite often actually. Shop My Shelf is our repository of recommendations sourced from people whose skin, beauty, wellness and general life principles we admire! In this edition we asked beauty and wellness influencer and founder of Sunday Forever, Sakshi to share her pregnancy recommendations and raising 2 babies, her child and Sunday Forever.

You have been a skincare enthusiast for the longest time, what led you to start Sunday Forever? The genre is slightly different and away from skincare.
Actually, Sunday Forever is related to skin and haircare. I have had frizzy hair for the longest time and started to look for alternative ways to help with hair care which led me to creating Sunday Forever. It has helped me immensely in taming down the frizz, reducing the oiliness of the scalp, and keeping static away.
Sunday Forever was launched in 2022 while you were expecting your first baby. How do you juggle between motherhood & nurturing a young brand?
Sunday Forever is actually my first baby. I have a very supportive business partner, who is also my sister-in-law. Additionally, my team is wonderful which makes it easier for me to work efficiently.
Give us your pregnancy bump, boob, skin, and hair recommendations please!
I did everything that Dr. Pooja Talera recommended, I used the Biologique Recherche Creme R-Stria on my bump regularly. Also I loved using argan oils on my entire body which also felt very nourishing. My hair was wonderful throughout the pregnancy period. However, I did experience hair fall postpartum for which I was recommended natural nourishment from Cosmix Healthy hair and biotin from Hairloc which helped me control it.
Did you try any superfacials with us during your pregnancy?
Yes of course, I did the Fire & Ice to improve my marks and get me ready my baby shower. I did the Biologique Recherche Bespoke Superfacial to upkeep my skin. Both were pregnancy safe and super relaxing.
Has your skincare routine transitioned since motherhood?
It has become more erratic since motherhood, some days I am all in with the face mask and serums, and some days I seem to go easy on the routine. However, I try to stick to cleansing, toning, moisturizing & suncare.
Who are your beauty & wellness icons?
Dr. Pooja Talera & Vasudha Rai - both have a plethora of information and advice for skincare.
Latest skincare splurge?
I keep having mini splurges like my recent Hermes lipstick, but my big buy has been The BOOST LED Face Mask. It has been the best skincare investment.
Bedside beauty essentials?
Hand Cream. I have so many of them. It’s just something I love doing as the last step because nothing like waking up with soft hands.
Last thing you do before going to bed?
Drink water
